Offrant une tension nominale de 3.7V et des capacités de quelques dizaines de mAh à environ 10Ah, les batteries Lithium Polymer sont très utilisés dans des produits portables. Ces batteries peuvent supporter environ 500 cycles de charge-décharge et, suivant les versions, des courants de décharges de plusieurs fois la capacité nominale. Facile à mettre en oeuvre, ces batteries demandent à être protégér par un circuit évitant les sur-tensions, sur-charge... afin de pouvoir être utilisées dans des conditions optimales et obtenir les certifications nécessaires. Il est bien sur possible d'associer plusieurs cellules afin d'obtenir des niveaux de tensions et/ou des capacités supérieurs.
